Pastor Ruth Sievert gave the opening invocation and
report on the work of our congregation in 2006 and the end of the life journey of Pastor Carol Nolte.
She challenged the members of St. Andrew’s to come up with ideas to attract and embrace new members
as we look to (hopefully) complete the process of finding a new permanent pastor this year.
Reports were also given by Gary Swift, Congregation President, Bea Masters, Treasurer; and new this year, reports from the chair people of the three standing committees that were mandated by the constitution to oversee the maintenance and mission of St. Andrew’s.
Elections were also held to fill two open council positions. Newly elected members Tope Ogunyankin and Trudi Scharmann will be officially installed during an upcoming Sunday worship service. A big thank you to outgoing members Gary Swift and Bea Masters, who did an outstanding job in managing the affairs of our congregation during a very difficult time!
(**On February 13, the council met for regular business and to elect new officers of the congregation. They are: Gerry Cominolo, President; Gordon Chavis, Treasurer; and Juanita Jackson,
Secretary.)
